The internet has responded to an intern leaving special notes on employees’ desks with a resounding call for them to be hired full-time.
In a sweet post to Reddit‘s r/MadeMeSmie on April 16, user u/sesler79 shared a series of images, explaining these are “the notes our intern leaves on our desks for us.”
And it’s clear the intern has some serious talent in art, as the post-it notes depict impressive pen drawings, along with words of encouragement for employees.
One shows a mountain sitting on a lake, with the image reflected in the lake below, alongside the words: “Best engineer award!”
The next, a pond bordered with tropical plants boasting “You’re a superstar,” a mountain range declaring there’s a “genius sitting here,” and a countryside view declaring “a popstar is sitting here!”
Reddit users loved the sweet and motivational gesture, and some suggested this could help the intern go far at the company.
One shared their own anecdote: “I remember doing something like this for a lead years ago and he spent the rest of my internship trying to get me a job in the company.”
Another user agreed: “My brother did this as the absolute lowest entry-level employee at a big financial company.
“He posted a really esoteric word of the day and its definition at his desk, and within a few weeks the CEO has heard about it and was stopping by every day to see the word. He moved up very quickly.”
“An intern once made a small drawing for each person in our office. We’ve all still got each of ours hanging up a few years after they left,” one remembered.
Another user pleaded: “Hire them full time straight away, the office needs this motivation.”
But one suggested this might not be the intern’s goal, as they wrote: “That’s a bored artist sitting in an office right there. I recognize my own kind.”

The Redditor who posted the sweet motivational drawings explained in the comments that the intern is paid and is on a student Visa, but they would “absolutely hire [them] in a heartbeat.”
