Indian insurtech firm reportedly has laid off 100 employees

Zopper, an insurance-focused SaaS startup, has laid off around 100 employees since the beginning of 2025, according to sources.

The most recent layoffs occurred earlier this week, affecting about 50 employees from the tech and product teams.

This follows a previous round of layoffs in the same teams, which resulted in 20 job losses.

These layoffs are part of broader cost-cutting measures despite a 170% increase in operating revenue in FY24, reaching 438.7 crore rupee (US$51.37 million).

Zopper raised US$25 million in a series D funding round earlier this year, bringing its total raised capital to US$121 million.
